While performing certain tasks and listening to the guide, we will explore the history and the secrets of the crypts. The size of a group is up to 24 persons. Grades: 5–7. Duration – 1 hour. Guided tour “The Legend of Barbora Radvilaitė”

Barbora Radvilaitė is one of the most prominent rulers of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Vilnius Cathedral and its crypts are more closely related with this queen than it may appear at first sight. The secret wedding of Barbora Radvilaitė and King Sigismund Augustus took place in the old Royal Chapel in 1547. After her premature death the queen was buried in the crypt under the floor of this chapel. Later she was reburied, and for three hundred years people could only guess where her remains rested. We invite children of primary school age to get better acquainted with the history of the legendary queen Barbora Radvilaitė. Together with the guide you will stop in the cathedral and then descend into the crypts and wander in their labyrinths, see the secret crypt of the rulers and the royal mausoleum, which today holds the remains of Barbora Radvilaitė. Grades: 1–4. Duration – 1 hour. Price – 4 Eur.
