The exhibition displays six antependia embellished with forged metal decorations from the Vilnius Church of the Holy Spirit, which had been used to adorn the church altars up to the 1980s and were then abandoned. The antependia were produced around 1784 by goldsmith Tadeusz Skędzierski (†1789) from Vilnius, who made and repaired liturgical paraphernalia for this church in 1779 and 1784 and also renovated the great monstrance.

Aleksandras Šepkus works with extremely expensive and sometimes exotic materials, and creates exceptional articles of pure art, which are not only remarkable pieces, but also comfortable to wear jewellery. When writing and speaking about Aleksandras Šepkus, art critics and colleagues pay close attention to the fact that, “From the very beginning of his path to creativity, this gifted person has always been touched with the freedom and feeling of an independent artist that is hard not to follow and admire.”
